ACTIVITY ON WORLD HEALTH DAY

World Health Day is a global health awareness day celebrated every year on 7 April, under the sponsorship of the world health organizations (WHO), as well as other related organizations. In 1948, the WHO held the first world health assembly and decided to celebrate the 7th of April, each year.

To celebrate World Health Day students of class 4th & 5th of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua performed an activity. Students made posters, charts and performed Yoga. The main motive of the activity was to aware the young youth of the importance of on person's health along with the importance of Mother Earth in our life. All the students with great zeal and exuberant participated in this activity and performed it .


ACTIVITY ON EID-UL-FITR

It's a day of rejoicing and bliss,
It's a day of blessing and peace,
It's a day to reflect and ponder,
Most of all, it's a day to celebrate together!


EID MUBARAK
Eid al-Fitr is also known as the 'festival of breaking fast. This occasion is very significant for Muslims as they celebrate this time with great zeal and festivity. This time signifies the end of Ramadan which is the Islamic sacred month of fasting. The holy month of Ramadan is a great opportunity for Muslims to reshape their life by the teachings of Islam. It is a month of self-judgement. It is a day of giving thanks to the Almighty. On this occasion, the Muslims get a chance to exchange greetings among their near and dear ones. It is celebrated with great joy and amusement throughout the world.

Students of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua celebrated Eid by performing different activities like...kawali, poem recitation, a topic on Eid & making beautiful charts etc. This day can be well summarized by a wonderful quotation:-

ACTIVITY ON WORLD BOOK AND COPYRIGHT DAY

World Book And Copyright Day 2022 Celebration at JSS Kathua:

"A book is a dream that you hold in your hands ".

It is often said that “books are a person's best companions''. The World Book Day was first observed by UNESCO on April 23, 1995, as a worldwide celebration of books and reading and to encourage young people to discover the pleasure of reading.

Every year, April 23 is celebrated as the World Book and Copyright Day, also known as World Book Day, to honour the great works by authors around the world.

All the students of the Jammu Sanskriti School kathua celebrated this by enthusiastically engaging in reading their favourite story books.The celebration started with a teacher's talk by the class incharges to make the students understand the significance of World Book Day. Avid readers of class VI-VIII participated in the activity of Collage making on the biographies of famous literary personalities under guardianship of Ms Damini, Ms Shifali and Ms Nidhi.All the students participated enthusiastically in the activities organized by school.


ACTIVITY ON PRESS FREEDOM DAY

World Press Freedom Day is celebrated on May 3rd to pay tribute to all journalists who have lost their lives.

The General Assembly of the United Nations established the World Press Freedom Day in December 1993.

World Press Freedom Day 2020 was hosted in the Netherlands.

It is a day to defend the media from the attacks on their independence and celebrate the fundamental principles of press freedom.

World Press Freedom Day celebrates the fundamental principles of the existing press freedom in India. The calendar events that are enlisted under the World Freedom Day are organized, outlined, and promoted by the United Nations.

UNESCO celebrates the World Press Freedom Day at both National and Local-level around the world. World Press Freedom Day is celebrated worldwide in the form of workshops and online debates. India ranks 142 slots according to the World Press Freedom Index 2020 report which was released by the global body in April.

UNESCO organises the Guillermo Cano World Press Freedom Prize to honour journalists who have died or risked their lives across the globe.

To contribute our bit ,Jammu sanskriti school Kathua organised a few activities which were performed by the students enthusiastically to aware people about World press freedom day.


Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua family came together to bid goodbye to the outgoing batch of class 12th....

"May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be ever at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields.
And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand."


The evening echoed with the blessings for the batch of 2021-2022 as the Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua family came together to bid goodbye to the outgoing batch of class 12th students. It was an evening filled with laughter, and mixed emotions for everyone present to witness the official send-off for class 12th students at the valedictory event. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers to reminisce the joyous moments of the years spent in school. Students of class 11th organised an amazingly planned farewell to leave a trail of nostalgia behind for class 12th students. It was a fun-filled evening that everyone enjoyed.

Principal Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, Mrs Mili. R. Sumbria congratulated the students of class 12th and wished them affirmative luck in their future endeavors.

The event ended with beautiful photo sessions that would hold memories for a lifetime.


Activity on National Technology Day

"Every innovation is a small step taken towards the growth of the country" - APJ Abdul Kalam

Technology brings along the promise of growth, development and advancement.

Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic and Development at any phase is always linked with technology and technology happens when there is advancement in science. Hence science, technology and development are all proportional to each other. Moreover, technology has provided students with access to countless online resources, encouraged them to carry out research and therefore become more independent. It has also simplified learning by making concepts more digestible.

May 11 is observed as the National Technology Day. This day marks the anniversary of the Pokhran nuclear tests of 1998 and India's technological advancements in this space. The test was led by an aerospace engineer and late President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. Later, Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee declared India a nuclear state, making it the sixth country to join the ‘nuclear club’ of nations. Hence, since 1999, May 11 is celebrated as “National Technology Day."

On the occasion students of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua performed various activities to aware the students on the significance and development of technology on the technology day.

The students made posters on technology day, delivered speeches, also a quiz competition was conducted under the supervision and guidance of Mr Deepak Khajuria (PGT IT) and Ms Poonam (TGT Computer)


JSS KATHUA ORGANISES A THANKSGIVING DINNER FOR ALL ITS ZEALOUS STAFF MEMBERS

Under the guidance of school management, Mrs Rohini Aima, Chairperson of Jammu Sanskriti Schools, Mr Harpreet Singh Anand, Chairman of Jammu Sanskriti Schools, Mrs Sonakshi Anand and Mrs Harleen Anand, Members of the Management along with Ms Avneet, Vice Principal Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu, Mrs Mili R Sumbria, Principal Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, Mr Govind Ram Sharma, Administrator, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua organized a lovely thanksgiving dinner for the amazing staff members of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua family.

The programme commenced with the welcome of teachers by our gorgeous anchors namely Ms Anuja, PGT Yoga and Ms Jiwanjyot Puri, School Counselor. A melodious song was sung by Ms Lakshmi, PGT Music followed by Mr Dilsher, Music teacher. Various games were also organised for the teachers like passing the parcel, musical chairs and balloon games to add a spark of fun and masti.

They all enjoyed and participated with full zeal and energy. The teachers energetically danced and enjoyed themselves, creating memorable moments. Few words for Respective Principal Ma'am and efficient coordinators were spoken by the staff members for their earnest leadership and guidance. A token of gratitude in the form of gifts was presented to the members of the Management for their continuous guidance and support always. Overall it was a vibrant evening.

Heartfelt Gratitude to the school management for organising such a mesmerising evening for the staff members.

The event wrapped up with memorable moments that would last for a lifetime.


RABINDRANATH TAGORE JAYANTI

"Faith is the bird that feels the light when the dawn is still dark"- Rabindranath Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore born on 7 May 1861in Kolkata, he was a Bengali polymath who worked as a poet, writer, playwright, composer, philosopher, social reformer, and a painter. He reshaped Bengali literature and music as well as Indian art with Contextual Modernism in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was the first non-European writer to be awarded the "Nobel Prize" for Literature. Notable works: Gitanjali, Ghare-Baire, Gora are some of his best known works.

His verse, short stories, and novels were acclaimed or panned for their lyricism, colloquialism, naturalism, and unnatural contemplation. His compositions were chosen by two nations as national anthems: India's "Jana Gana Mana" & Bangladesh's "Amar Shonar Bangla".

INTERNATIONAL LABOUR DAY

"You have the power to change this world . If you have the power to work with commitment and dedication".To commemorate the Labour Day and to appreciate and thank the selfless service of our helpers and attendants, who work with full dedication and ensure the hygiene and security of the school, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua arranged a special morning celebration with a movie with snacks at Moonlight cineplex on Friday. Mrs Mili R Sumbria, Principal Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua, teaching fraternity and school management appreciated the efforts and hard work put in by the menial staff, for always working behind the curtains and making each event a complete success. They stressed the dignity of labour’ and urged students to display respect and gratitude to all professions. On the occasion, the Management, Principal, Teaching Fraternity with students of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua showed respect by arranging this special visit to cineplex for their relentless efforts.The workers also expressed their gratitude to the school management, Principal, teacher and students for this initiative.

Principal Ma'am congratulated the workers and thanked them for their devotion and dedication to service. She said they all work for our school and their hard work is always appreciable. She also motivated all the students to always give respect to the drivers, helpers and menial staff as they are the backbone of the school.


ACTIVITY ON COMPOST FORMATION

’Love the Earth as you love yourself’’

Earth Day is an an event on April 22 to Demonstrate support for Environmental Protection . It was first held on April 22 in 1970. Our planet is an amazing place, but it needs our help to thrive! That’s why each year on April 22, more than a billion people celebrate this day.

Today students of class 9th performed an activity to celebrate Earth day. They made compost using kitchen waste that Includes peels, waste, onion waste, used tea, papaya peels etc. Each student brought kitchen waste to school and performed this activity in biology lab under the guidance of Sheetal Mam. While performing this activity, they came to know that how our kitchen waste that we used to throw away, if used wisely can form compost.

Compost is an organic manure that increases fertility of soil. This compost formation needs no special requirements and care. Students did this activity by putting all kitchen waste in a polythene bag. After some days, kitchen waste turned into manure.


World Earth Day

" The Earth does not belong to man, Man belongs to the Earth " Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22nd, it is a reminder to protect the environment, restore damaged ecosystems and live a more sustainable life. The event was first celebrated in 1970, Senator Gaylord Nelson created Earth Day as a way to force this issue onto the national agenda.“The healthier our ecosystems are, the healthier the planet– and its people " To contribute our bit, JAMMU SANSKRITI SCHOOL, KATHUA have organized different activities to sensitize students about the earth, its ecosystem and sustenance. Activities like Poem Recitation under the guardianship of Mrs Priya, Mrs Sunanda, Speech on Earth Day by Vanshika (10thStandard) under the mentorship of Ms Anju, Skit by students of Harmony house under the mentorship of Mr Ajay, Ms Sakshi and Ms Sonia, some ornamental and creative activities were planned by using waste material was prepared by the students are given by Mr Sourav and a pledge was taken as well by our amazing sanskritians. All in all a day full of vibrant learning and understanding that we as responsible youth need to do a lot many things to protect our mother Earth and save its beauty for the future generations to witness.


ACTIVITY ON WORLD MALARIA DAY

World Malaria Day (WMD) is an international observance commemorated every year on 25 April and recognizes global efforts to control malaria.

Malaria exists in more than 100 countries worldwide, and some 900,000 people die from the disease each year. However, malaria is preventable with the use of medicines and other precautionary measures.

World Malaria Day is an occasion to highlight the need for continued investment and sustained political commitment for malaria prevention and controls.

On this day the students of our school performed some activities in the morning assembly like pledge , poem recitation, topic of the day and speech with full enthusiasm and this morning assembly was leaded by Harmony house .

Mother's day is a special day, for all kids and their respective mothers, as it celebrates the bond of love and affection that is everlasting.Mothers are the emotional backbone of the family, who have in them a magical touch to heal the wounds and make all things beautiful. Mother's day is a celebration for the amazing mothers and honouring motherhood. Mother's day is the perfect opportunity to stop and reflect on all the hard work, dedication and devotion that a mother displays towards her family throughout her life.

On May 7, 2022, JAMMU SANSKRITI SCHOOL KATHUA celebrated the special occasion of mother's day with great excitement and enthusiasm. The event commenced with an address by Ms Arti (middle wing coordinator )followed by the lighting of the lamp. The campus echoed with the spiritual mantras and tribute to Goddess Sarswati by ucharan of the beautiful shlok "Hey Shardhey maa" by the melodious singers of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua.The young sanskritians further, on the occasion presented a Dance performance"meri maa....." which they performed with great energy and emotions. The blooming buds of Classes 1st and 2nd also recited poems on Mother's day expressing their countless emotions and feelings on "Maa".

Further, the programme was followed by a beautiful and emotional Play on mother's day. There was a gorgeous Dance performance by Class 6th followed by a song sung by the students of class 2nd, Play and dance performance on Teri ungli pakad ke chla.....was also given by the dynamic Sanskritians.The students of classes Ist to 12th had something more special and unique to bring a smile to their beloved mother's face. They made beautiful greeting cards for their respective mothers. Each card was special and different in its way. Teachers made an earnest effort to instil the importance and value of a mother in the child's life through effective presentation, video clipping and dramatization. All in all, it was a memorable day with heart rendering and mesmerising performances by talented Sanskritians for every mother which certainly left an indelible mark on the hearts of every mother.The event was organised by the CCA Heads namely, Ms Shiwai Sharma, Ms Sakshi Sharma and Ms Mosami Andotra under the mentorship of Arti Rajput (Middle wing coordinator).Ms Mili.R.Sumbria, Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua lauded the efforts of the participants and also congratulated the event organisers for their sincere and untiring efforts. She wished all the Gorgeous Mothers, A Very Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua today celebrated 'Baisakhi' with great fervour in the school campus. Students were given different activities to amplify their knowledge about the vibrant festival of Baisakhi. Jagriti of Grade 2 recited a beautiful poem, Rehatveer of Grade 2 gave a speech on Baisakhi Festival and Niharika of Grade 3 gave a mesmerising dance performance on Baisakhi. Little Sanskritians of class Prep made beautiful Kites and Dhol. The students celebrated this festival with great zeal and energy. Baisakhi is not just a Spring-time harvest festival but also a day to commemorate the formation of the Khalsa Panth of warriors under Guru Govind Singh in 1699. Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua today celebrated the 5th Graduation Ceremony for the Session 2021-22. Our budding students of class Prep laid their first milestone on the road towards success. Mr Rahul Yadav (I.A.S.) honourable Deputy Commissioner Kathua along with Mrs Divya Yadav (Betterhalf of Deputy commissioner, Kathua) graced the occasion, as chief guest. Mr PL Thappa, Chief Education Officer Kathua, our Guest of Honor, other esteemed dignitaries present on the occasion were Mr Kewal Kishan (District Education Planning Officer ), Mrs Ankita Prakash Principal Rising Star Army Pre-Primary School Janglot, Mr Harpreet Singh Anand (Chairman, Jammu Sanskriti Schools), Mrs Sonakshi Anand (Member of the Management Committee) and Mr Govind Ram Sharma (Administrator Head, Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua)Mrs Mili R Sumbria addressed the gathering by proposing a welcome note to the august gathering, she spoke about the progress and accomplishments made by the students as they achieved their initial milestone on their journey to formal schooling. The event began with the lighting of the lamp and mantra uncharan followed by the welcome song “Swagatam” by the melodious singers of Class Ist. The young graduates of class prep further ,on the occasion presented the 'Zumba dance' which they performed enthusiastically and with great energy. The blooming buds of Class Prep also recited a rhyme ‘Everyday’ we come to school... ’ expressing their feelings and counting upon the emotions they have while coming to school almost after two years. Further the programme was followed by Ramp Walk on different states and their culture ,exhibiting the shades of India by Pre-Nursery, Punjabi dance by the students of Nursery, Dogri dance by Nursery class as well and the story of Snow White by Aisha of class Prep followed by a Speech on Smart watch by Divshan of class Prep. The tiny tots left everybody spellbound as they danced to tunes of vibrant music displaying breathtaking performances with rhythmic movements. In the end, the students received their certificates of graduation and expressed their thankfulness by performing a thank you song.

The chief guest and special guests on the occasion appreciated the young lads for their marvelous performances and inspired them to keep moving ahead in life with conviction and fire in their hearts through a motivational speech which was highly applauded by parents, management and teaching fraternity alike. Memento to esteemed dignitaries was presented and gratitude was expressed for having extended their valuable presence. Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs Monika Sharma Co-ordinator Pre-Primary Wing. She thanked the esteemed dignitaries for their benevolent presence, management and parents for their unconditional support and cooperation and the media fraternity for their exclusive coverage of this respective event. She also motivated the students and lauded their sincere efforts. She thanked one and all.


World Cancer Day

Awareness was given to the students on cancer on World Cancer Day with the help of power point presentation by the students of 9th C and 10th C. World Cancer Day aims to prevent millions of deaths each year by raising awareness and education about cancer, and pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action against the diseases. The prime motive for observing the day is to let students know about the disease, its cause, its cure. Notion conceived by Ms.Munmun Kohli (Senior wing coordinator) The said activity was conducted under the supervision of Ms. Damandeep Kour and Ms. Rajneet Kour, who contributed in the preparation and help the students to make and present the presentation. Respected Vice-principal Ms. Avneet Budhraja and Senior Wing coordinator . Activity was supervised by vice principal Ms Avneet kour Budhraja .She also appreciated the students for their efforts.

Motive: The presentations given by the students remarked that the primary goal i.e to significantly reduce illness and death caused by cancer.

Outcomes: It is all about understanding and recognizing the inequities in cancer care around the globe. The theme revolves around identifying and recognizing global disparities in cancer care, that prevents people from certain economic strata full access to essential healthcare services and facilities. Inequity in cancer care costs lives.


CONTEMPORARY DANCE COMPETITION

A proud moment for Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua as our students got the 2nd CONSOLATION PRIZE for the Contemporary Dance Competition under the banner of SHAHODYA* held at Model Academy School, Jammu where almost around 25 elite CBSE schools participated. The dance theme was *DARKNESS TO LIGHT.
Our students namely Chirag Vashith, Nitin, Aarav Gupta, Nivedita and Aaditya performed a beautiful contemporary dance on the small section of Mahabharata where Lord Krishna comes to the rescue of Draupadi from Dushashen and Duryodhana.
They prepared the whole performance under the mentorship of Mr Ajay (Dance Teacher), Mrs Shiwali (Deputy Coordinator, Primary Wing) and Ms Sonia (Deputy Coordinator, Middle Wing) along with Mr Mukesh ( PGT Painting ). Everyone over there was left spellbound and had goosebumps while all these characters were being portrayed by our rhythmic Sanskritians to the emotionally dipped tunes of the dance number selected, they were highly appreciated and lauded for this depiction of the character Draupadi in the Mahabharata and how in this gathering she was insulted, exploited and raged, how finally, Lord Krishna came to save her and that God exists in the hearts of all but simply man needs to realise the same, the entire act was symbolic of the journey of darkness to light. They were bold and beautiful and their performances were praiseworthy. Mrs Mili R Sumbria, Principal Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua felt proud at the achievement of her Dynamic Sanskritians, she also lauded the efforts of her teaching faculty especially Mr Ajay, Dance Teacher.


DIWALI : FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS

Victory of light️ over darkness, goodover evil, and knowledge over ignorance

JAMMU SANSKRITI SCHOOL KATHUA on 20th of October organised an event to celebrate the festivity and gaiety on Diwali with joy unlimited, enthusiasm and excitement. The celebration commenced with the warm welcome of the honourable chief guest Ms. Sunninder Jeet Kour KAS Tehsildar headquarter, Kathua along with guest of honour Dr. Sangeeta Ajrawat Medical Superintendent GMC Kathua by Ms. Mili R. Sumbria Principal, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua along with Mr Govind Ram Sharma (Administrator), Mr Satish Kumar (Senior Coordinator) Ms Arti (Middle Wing coordinator) Mrs Samriti Sharma (Primary coordinator) Mrs Radha Rani (Coordinator Primary Wing), Mrs Monika Sharma (Coordinator pre-primary wing) and members of students council. They also extended a warm welcome to our esteemed parent fraternity to the sparkling celebration.

The celebration began with the lighting of the auspicious lamp to invoke the blessings of Goddess Saraswati by all the venerated dignitaries followed by the mantra uccharan by students of 1st & 2nd standard who were so spiritual and melodious, this was followed by a beautiful song presented by students of Grade 2. After that, the students of Grade 2 presented an energetic and beautiful dance performance on the track, Shub din ayo re...... followed by the beautiful performance of the little sanskritians of class 1 who showcased a skit spreading a message on "Clean Diwali, Green Diwali". An amazing presentation on Diwali was presented by Maniara Shri of class 1which was so full of depth as it summarised the story behind celebration of this auspicious festival of lights and giving the message of the victory of Good over Evil, followed by a dance dipped in the spiritual aura of Ramayan by students of class 2. Aesha Sharma of class 1 presented another presentation on the festival of Diwali.

After that a rhythmic , dance performance by our dynamic dancers of Grade 1wishing everyone happy diwali. Then to remind us all of the teachings of lord Rama by reciting Choupiyan from the holy epic of Ramayana by students of class 1 &2 which was followed by a nukkad natak on the theme "Cracker free diwali" by students of class 2. A presentation on Story of Diwali was presented by Rehatveer Singh student of class 2. Lastly a Rajasthani dance was performed by students of class 1.

The positivity and energy was exuberant out of the colourful costumes combined with the enthusiasm of dance created an ambience full of vibrance and zest. The honourable dignitaries while appreciating the students and their respective mentors for putting up a marvellous event. The celebration concluded with many memories to be cherished forever and created a spiritual aura.The vote of thanks was extended by Ms Shiwali Sharma, Deputy Primary Coordinator.

कानों में कुंडल पहन लेने से शोभा नहीं बढ़ती, अपितु ज्ञान की बातें सुनने से होती है। हाथों की सुन्दरता कंगन पहनने से नहीं होती बल्कि दान देने से होती है। सज्जनों का शरीर भी चन्दन से नहीं बल्कि परहित में किये गये कार्यों से शोभायमान होता है।

Diwali is about giving, sharing and spreading happiness

To make this festival even more special, faculty of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua along with council members visited old age home and orphanages Bal ashram (boys), Nari Niketan (girls).

First, the team visited the old age home where teachers and council members interacted with the head who later took them to the old people living there.Students and staff donated clothing, footwear and other items of their use as a token of love, which lit up their faces. They showered all their love and blessings on the team of teachers and students which made our visit fruitful.

Later students and staff members visited the two orphanages (boys and girls) and distributed stationery items, clothing, footwear, and blankets to the children residing there which brought immense joy and happiness to their faces. It was indeed a wonderful experience filled with loads of emotions and love Students and staff members of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua felt grateful as they came back with not only fond memories but also some valuable lessons that have been learnt for a lifetime.


GURU NANAK JAYANTI

Nanak Naam chardi kalaa, there bhane sarbat da bhala, Dhan Dhan Sahib Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji de Reagan, Gurpurab Di AAP sab nu lakh vadaai…!

Guru Nanak Jayanti or Gurpurab is celebrated by Sikhs across the globe to mark the birth anniversary of the first Sikh Guru, Guru Nanak Dev. It falls every year on the full moon day of Kartik month, as per the Hindu calendar. This year, Gurpurab is being celebrated on Tuesday 8th of November, 2022.

On the auspicious occasion of Gurpurab students of Jammu Sanskriti School, Kathua visited Gurdwara Sahib with the teachers and took the blessings of Guru Nanak dev Ji ... They also shared and presented their views on this occasion. Through this visit to the Gurudwara they learnt and understood more deeply about the life history of Guru Nanak dev Ji and the other nine Sikh gurus. This visit marks the connection of students with the teaching and views of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.


INTER-SCHOOL GROUP SONG COMPETITION

The Shri Ram Universal School Jammu organised an inter-school group song competition 'Bharat Ke Rang Lok Geeton Ke Sang' under the aegis of the Sahodaya Schools Complex Jammu. The event was organised to offer a platform to the budding talent among schools of Jammu Sahodaya and to showcase their skills in the field of music🎶. The theme of the event was 'Regional Folk Song🎵 Thirty-one schools of utmost repute of the Jammu region dressed in colourful attires participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm. The students of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua under the mentorship of Ms Lakshmi and Mr Dilsher, Faculty of Music, Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua also participated with great enthusiasm and were presented appreciation certificates, they were lauded for their lovely performances. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp and the auditorium reverberated with the echoes of chants of the Gayatri mantra followed by a scintillating performance of Saraswati Vandana by the students of the school.

Baldev Singh Balloria, Deputy Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation, graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The guest of honour for the event was Mr Sanjeev Gupta, Chairman of The Shriram Universal School Jammu, the other prominent guests included Mr Rajesh Rathore, President of Jammu sahodaya Schools Complex, Dr KCS Mehta, Principal IDPS Akhnoor and Mr Sanjeev Pradhan, Principal Heritage School along with Ms Rohini Aima Chairperson Jammu Sanskriti Schools. The panel of jury included eminent experts in the field of music🎶 like Shri Suraj Singh HOD ( IMFA. Vocal) Mr Sunil Raina HOD ( IMFA sitar) Mr Bahadur Singh HOD(IMFA violin🎻Retd). It was a day filled with power-packed performances and memories of a lifetime.


JAMMU SANSKRITI SCHOOL KATHUA OUTSHINES IN ZONAL LEVEL KALA UTSAV 2022

On November 4, six students of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua participated in the prestigious zonal level Kala Utsav 2022 which was held at International Delhi Public School Kathua, under the Directorate of Samgra Shiksha, J&K (UT)

'Kala Utsav 'is an initiative of the Ministry of Education (Moe) wherein students displayed their talent by competing with each other in different categories such as virtual arts, instrumental, classical vocal, folk song, classical dance, folk dance etc. The Competition is held every year to promote fine arts and culture in education by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students and to recognise the importance of aesthetic and artistic experiences which play a major role in creating awareness about the rich and cultural heritage of India and its rich and cultural diversity.

It was a proud moment that dynamic Sanskritians from Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua brought laurels to the institution.

The understated students bagged positions under the category:-
1. Divyanshi Bakshi bagged 2nd in a folk dance competition.
2. Rajan Sharm was presented with a certificate of participation in folk songs.
3. Mridul Bakshi bagged Ist in instrumental melodic.
4. Nitika Jawalia won a participation certificate in virtual arts (2-dimensional).
5. Ayush Sharma bagged 2nd in virtual arts (3-dimensional).
6. Sanidhya Sharma bagged 3rd in indigenous toys and games.
School management and Mrs Mili R . Sumbria, Principal of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua congratulated and appreciated the winners for having remarkably performed. She said that the talent of children needs to be exhibited and appreciated and Kala Utsav was one such platform. She also appreciated the dance teacher and music teacher for displaying both dedication and devotion towards their students while preparing them for such endearing competitions.


Police and Martyrdom Topic Competition

पुलिस प्रशस्ति दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में जिला पुलिस मुख्यालय कठुआ द्वारा लड़कों के उच्च माध्यमिक विद्यालय में ' पुलिस और शहादत ' विषय पर एक भाषण प्रतियोगिता करवाई गई, जिसमें जिला के विभिन्न विद्यालयों के छात्रों ने भाग लिया ।भाषण प्रतियोगिता का विभाजन दो श्रेणियों में किया गया प्रथम श्रेणी में कक्षा 9वीं तथा दसवीं के विद्यार्थियों ने पुलिस के साहस और वीरता का बखान करते हुए अपने अनुभवों को साझा किया तथा दूसरी श्रेणी में 11वीं और 12वीं कक्षा के छात्रों ने पुलिस प्रशासन की उपलब्धियों साहस और वीरता का बखान करते हुए अपने विचारों को साझा किया। प्रथम श्रेणी के अंतर्गत जम्मू संस्कृति स्कूल कठुआ की कक्षा दसवीं की छात्रा देव्यांशी बक्शी ने अपनी वाकपटुता का प्रदर्शन करते हुए अपने विचारों द्वारा उपस्थित सभी श्रोताओं को मंत्रमुग्ध कर प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया। वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक श्री रोमेश चंद्र कोतवाल जी ने प्रथम पुरस्कार के रुप में देव्यांशी बक्शी को प्रशस्ति पत्र के साथ 2000 रुपए नकद इनाम में दिए। जम्मू संस्कृति स्कूल कठुआ की कक्षा ग्यारहवीं की छात्रा नंदिनी जसरोटिया ने भी अपने विचारों को साझा करते हुए पुलिस प्रशासन की वीरता का बखान कर प्रशस्ति पत्र प्राप्त किया। जम्मू संस्कृति स्कूल, कठुआ की प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती मिली आर. सुंबरिया जी ने बच्चों की सराहना करते हुए तथा उन्हें आशीर्वाद देते हुए कहा कि मुझे अपने छात्रों की बुद्धि और उत्साह पर पूर्ण विश्वास है। मैं हमेशा इनके अच्छे भविष्य की कामना करती हूं।
